Buenas Dias my lovely Swallows
Well, what a rainy evening we had last night! My conservatory leaked and I was mopping the floor in my pajamas and wellies! I hope that you enjoyed listening to the noisy roars of the thunder as you were safe and dry inside. I love how the lightening flashes and brightens up the whole room, it's very exciting. I used to feel frightened during a thunder storm but now I enjoy listening to the different sounds the thunder makes and counting until the lightening flashes. I have found a lovely quote that might help you when you are feeling nervous:
1 Peter 5:7, ‘Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.’
Following on from our contractions work yesterday, let's have a look at 10 spellings for this week:
can't, won't, don't, shouldn't, I'd, he'd, didn't, wouldn't, couldn't, I'll
I attached a booklet yesterday that you can work through today or just practise your spellings. Think carefully about which letters are missing and where to place the apostrophe.
In Maths we are going to be finding a third of an amount, splitting the whole into 3 equal parts. https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/
Let's take a look at where Jewish people go to worship today. I have attached some further activities for you to explore.

A message from Mrs Powell
Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner has been climbing mountains since she was just thirteen years old.
In adulthood she became a nurse, but kept climbing as often as possible: She was always working to save up for her next climbing trip. She eventually became the first female to climb all of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks (and above) without the use of oxygen. Wow! Just remember you can achieve anything if you want to do it.
.
What wil you do?
I hope that the sun shines today and that the rain hides away so that you can play outside. Maybe if it does rain, you could put your wellies on and go and splash in some puddles. I love to dance around in the rain, the boys think that I'm silly! Remember to always ask your grown first.
What ever you to do today, have fun, stay safe and be happy.
We miss you all more than words can say.
Love Mrs Rice and Mrs Elson xxx
