Our School Supermarket

What is it?

Our supermarket’s mission is to reduce food waste and provide affordable, nutritious food to those who need it. By partnering with supermarkets and other Food Waste Hubs, we are able to take surplus stock that might otherwise go to waste and offer it to our school community at a fraction of its original cost. By shopping with us, you’re not just saving money—you’re supporting a sustainable, community-focused approach to food distribution.

A virtual tour:

When will it be open?

Initially, our school supermarket will open every Thursday from 3pm. Please queue at the main office entrance and you will be shown to the supermarket from here. We will review this system every couple of weeks and will make you aware of any changes.

-

How much will it cost and how will it be paid for?

For just £4, our Lostock families can fill shopping bags with a wide variety of items worth considerably more. Please bring your own shopping bags, however we will have some spare should you ever forget!

To shop in our school supermarket, you must first purchase a token on School Gateway. These tokens can then be collected from the school office ahead of your shop and redeemed in the supermarket on a Thursday.
