23.4.20 Starlings Blog - Thursday
Date: 23rd Apr 2020 @ 8:17am
Good morning my lovely Starlings, happy Thursday. I hope you had another wonderful day yesterday, I know I did. Did you see Mrs Southern, Mr Cliff and I completing our ‘Tongue Twister Challenge’ on Twitter? As you can see by our concentration faces, we found it tricky too!
Daily Jobs
Please remember to look at the attached timetable for some ideas to keep you busy. This document also contains a daily task list based on our foundation subjects. These are often the activities that the children find the most fun. Please remember that although we are giving you lots of different resources and links to use at home, you do not need to use them all each day. I would aim for one activity out of each box below each day. This may not happen every day and that is absolutely fine! Your child's mental health is much more important than a home learning task.

While looking on the BBC Bitesize website I noticed a fantastic music lesson planned for today. If you fancy a bit of a change, check out the link below. You know how much I enjoy a good sing along.

Here are some YouTube links to some other songs that we enjoyed singing together in school. This is your time to sing and dance like no one is watching!
- Moana – How Far I’ll Go https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i66p0_wZ9F0
- The Lion King – I just can’t wait to be King https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJEBV11ONHE
- Matilda – When I Grow Up - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96JDkI2tBhI
- Magic Penny https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QN-0UWJHDl4
I hope you are all continuing to keep active. Remember this is good for both our physical and mental health. Have you been going for a daily walk, run or cycle? Maybe doing some 5-A-Day activities, Go Noodle or Cosmic Yoga? Or simply putting on some music and dancing around the house, which I’ve been enjoying!
Keep smiling, work hard and remember to be kind.
Lots of love from
Miss Gillam
Message from Mrs Powell
Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than one with all the facts.” – Albert Einstein
What do you really want to do? What are your dreams? Remember you can do anything, keep dreaming and if you want, tell someone all about it!
