22.4.20 Starlings Blog
Date: 22nd Apr 2020 @ 8:19am
Hello everyone,
Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday. I had a very relaxed day. I went for my early morning run and did lots of my busy work jobs during the day. I then enjoyed some early evening sunshine and ate my tea in the garden. This is known as al fresco dining. Perhaps you could try it too in your yard or garden too?
I wonder if you could use the BBC Bitesize online learning resources to find out what adjectives are today? There is a wonderful writing task to complete all about a yeti. Please complete any writing activities in your exercise book or on a piece of paper.

Your history work for today focuses on the life of the famous English fossil collector, dealer, and palaeontologist, Mary Anning. I can’t wait to see some of your tongue twister videos on Twitter. Perhaps (if I am feeling brave) I will post one too! Please see our timetable and task list for more details.
Have fun with this my lovely Starlings.
Daily Jobs
Please remember that although we are giving you lots of different resources and links to use a home, you do not need to use them all each day. I would aim for one activity out of each box below each day. This may not happen every day and that is absolutely fine. Your child's mental health is much more important than a home learning task. ‘The most important thing is to enjoy your life – to be happy – that’s all that matters.’ Audrey Hepburn

Missing you all lots. Here are some pictures to remind you of some of the good times we have shared together. Do you remember your very first day in Starlings class? Haven’t you all grown?! It certainly made me smile looking back through some of our wonderful memories together. Daisy’s mum also found a beautiful photograph of a singing starling. Did you know that their beaks are mostly closed when they sing?
Lots of love from Miss Gillam
P.S. Remember how proud I am of each of you.

I love this and I love all of your smiles! When you think kind things, you spread that kindness for everyone to see. Tell someone special, three of your kind thoughts.
