Guten Tag Goldfinches,
Hope you had a good day yesterday.
For the past few days, my little team have been beginning to understand that 'Many hands make light work' (My Gran says this all of the time) They are all helping out around the house more: making beds, sweeping, wiping the kitchen surfaces, vacuuming, and tidying up. It is such a help and makes me feel so much better than if I had to do it all on my own. I know how much help you Goldfinches can be in the classroom so would love to know you are helping out at home too.
I read an interesting article about a man called Nik Wallender and a volcano in picture news yesterday. I can't decide if I would call him brave or very, very silly. What are your thoughts? (see attached article)
Yesterday we finally finished turning our toilet rolls into a food chain. This was such fun to do and we worked together to do little bits at a time.
School Jobs
Geography: How good are you at naming and locating the 7 continents? Have a go at this game to see if you can get them all correct https://world-geography-games.com/continents/index.html
How well do you know the 5 main world oceans? https://world-geography-games.com/oceans/index.html Did you get them all?
Maths: Keep working through your angles pack. Use your angle eater to check for right angles. Can you find a way of using the angle eater to find acute and obtuse angles too?
Reading: Have a go at one of the Guiness World record comprehensions.
Have a wonderful day. Make good and helpful choices. More from me tomorrow
Missing you all lots, Mrs Evans
Here is a little something from Mrs Brennan to make you smile!!!
Message from Mrs Powell
“Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
Dear children, Are you getting a bit grumpy? It is all very strange, before you say anything when you are cross, say to yourself would I want someone to speak to me like that? Remember we all get grumpy and that is OK!
