Happy Friday to all our lovely Toucans! What a strange week this has been! I hope you are all keeping well, looking out for each other and helping out at home. I’ve missed seeing you all this week.

Good morning children! This morning I want you to think about how special and unique you are, talk to someone in your house about all the special qualities that make you unique. What about the people you live with, what makes them special, why don’t you tell them! Mrs Powell
I hope you have at least dipped into your Home Learning packs this week and are not forgetting all the fabulous learning that you have worked so hard to achieve this year. I’m very proud of each of you.
Remember, just keep reading and aim to complete at least one Maths and Writing activity each day.
Word of the day – pungent
Every day we will give you a word which you must learn and complete some related tasks with it.
- In your home learning book write this word 3 times in your best handwriting.
- Specify which word class it is e.g. noun, adjective, pronoun etc.
- Find a synonym for this word
- Find an antonym for this word
- Write it in a super sentence using an adverbial of manner
English
Have a go at one of the spelling activities in your CGP books.
Maths
Have a go at one of the First4Maths activities in your pack. They are also on the school website, under Classes, under Home Learning.
Creative Time
Start collecting some recycled materials (like we did for your Wonderful Anderson Shelters) and I’d like you to begin work on designing and building your own DT project e.g. a space rocket, your dream home, a home for your pet, a theme park etc. You can continue with this over the next few weeks and please Tweet your creations.
RE – Easter – check details on the Home Learning timetable – just do as much as you can as we will carry on with this next week.
I hope this good weather continues today and you can get outside and keep up your fitness levels. I’m hoping to go on a bike ride with Aoife later after she too has done some home learning!!
Best wishes, from Mrs Downing, Mrs Whittingham & Mr Beswick
