Good morning Toucans.
It has been lovely seeing you all on our Zoom calls this week. Thank you Toucans for your enthusiasm and commitment towards your home learning. I hope you all work hard today and then you definitely deserve a few days away from your school work to enjoy spending time with your families.

Reading
Toucans, we would love you to read a little each day of the school book you have or a book you have been reading at home.
Don’t forget our new copy of First News.
If you continue to record your reading in your diary and get an adult to sign your diary each time you read, you will still be able to collect your raffle tickets when we are back in school.
Spellings
As its Friday today and we would usually have a test I would like you give yourself one using these words today. Look at each word, say it to yourself and then write it down. Think about the Silent Letters.
Spelling words: calm, autumn, climb, guest, gnarled, talking, knowledge, knight, solemn, doubted
Story
Enjoy listening to our class book ‘The Last Post’ by Keith Campion, read by Mrs Whittingham)

Worship
"The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."
(Genesis 2:15)
Our new Christian Value is RESPECT. Look again at the 17 Global Goals below and think about how we can respect our own homes, gardens, parks and local area.
Reflection
Talk to your family about the Global Goals and think about what small actions you could take at home. Make a pledge on the blank puzzle piece attached to today’s Blog about what you and your family could do.
For example: Mrs Whittinghams’ family are no longer using plastic food bags and cling film. They are on a mission to make sure they turn off the lights in the rooms they are not using and they go for walks and runs locally so they don’t use the car as much.
Please have you hot chocolate ready enjoy worship with Mrs Powell. (ignore the incorrect date)
