Wednesday 6th January 2021
Good morning Toucans.
We hope you are all well and ready for your home learning today. Remember to engage with our ‘chats’ using the discussion tool on School Spider. We will be available throughout the day to answer your questions, give feedback on your work or just to have a little chat. I look forward to hearing how you get on with today’s tasks.
I have created video links on YouTube for the English and Maths lessons in case you are struggling to open the attached files.

I have also included the answers on the last slide so no peaking until you have had a go at answering the questions yourself!
Times Tables
Recap all your times tables using TTRockstars https://ttrockstars.com/ Where can you get to on the leader board today?
Writing

Reading
Toucans, we would love you to read a little each day of the school book you have or a book you have been reading at home.
Spellings
Have a go at reading, saying in a sentence and spelling words with the ‘sh’ sound spelt ‘ti’ or ‘ci’
Today’s word: direction
Other words: especially, explanation, appreciate, competition, ancient, cautious, delicious, motion, spacious
(I will add a specific word each day and suggest a test or practising all the spellings on Friday)
Story
(this has been recorded and embedded into our Writing Power Points – enjoy listening to a war poem read by Mrs Whittingham)
Hoping you have a great day. Remember to use the Discussion page on School Spider to chat to us about your work today.
Best wishes from Mrs Downing, Mrs Whittingham and Mr Beswick.
