Times Tables
Recap all your times tables using TTRockstars https://ttrockstars.com/ Where can you get to on the leader board today? We have been so impressed with your daily scores.
Writing
To write informative paragraphs about an endangered animal of your choice.
To apply all of the grammar skills practised throughout this unit.
Please watch this video as the PowerPoint is too big to upload. Remember to just pause it when needed and you can play back too if required.
Reading
Toucans I have included on the blog a short Reading Task on Volcanoes for you to complete today.
Toucans, we would love you to read a little each day of the school book you have or a book you have been reading at home.
If you continue to record your reading in your diary and get an adult to sign your diary each time you read, you will still be able to collect your raffle tickets when we are back in school.
Spellings
This week we will be looking at the spellings – Plural Nouns
We will focus on the last word today - deer
Write a silly short story using this word at least 5 times.
E.g. Wandering along the path to Asda, I suddenly stopped! There in the distance were some deer wearing Santa hats. The deer were laughing and jostling with each other. Each of the deer also had a tutu on. Where did these deer come from? What were the deer doing her?
Create a graffiti wall to practise spelling all of today’s spellings so you are ready for our test tomorrow.
Spelling words: yourselves, knives, bookshelves, loaves, potatoes, volcanoes, geese, women, wolves, deer,
Story
‘The Explorer’ by Katherine Rundell, read by Mrs Whittingham
