Week ending the 12th March 2021

It has been wonderful this week welcoming back everyone into our class. The children have been busy re-establishing routines, spending time with their friends and settling down to lessons! We have enjoyed National Science Week and have been finding out about famous scientists, carrying out investigations and creating our own inventions.

Here are some Science video clips the children may like to watch again at home.

Listen to ‘The Crayon man’ - the true story of the invention of Crayola crayons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYkqCILYib4

Watch video about the invention of the Mars rover ‘Perseverance’.  The mission took place in February 2020 and aimed to discover whether there had ever been life on Mars before:

Watch the mission trailer which shows you the Entry, Descent and Landing procedure the rover followed as it approached Mars:

The only homework we want our children to be doing at the moment is reading and spellings.

Spellings for next week will focus on the rule – the ‘sh’ sound spelt ‘si’ or ‘ssi’
