Another super week for Robins Class! We particularly enjoyed our Science Workshops on Monday!
In writing, we will continue to explore our new book ‘Silence Seeker’. We will use the text to build our vocabulary and write direct speech between characters. We will then apply our new learning by writing our own interpretation of the opening of the story.
In maths we will be consolidating our understanding of multiplication and divisions by solving various problem solving tasks. We will also recap column method for addition and subtraction and will look at how we can use inverse operations to solve missing box questions.
Our spellings for the test on Friday 20th March will look at words with the –ion suffix:
action, collection, construction, attraction, reaction, invention, injection, subtraction
When practicing your child’s spellings with them, try removing the –ion suffix and focus on learning the root word (e.g. act)
Parents Evening will take place on Monday 16th and Wednesday 18th of March. Your child has now been given your appointment card with your time slot on it. Please come and speak to me if you cannot make your appointment or wish to rearrange.
