Y2 Wk beg 7.10.19

Swallows have had a super week being history detectives examining aretefacts relating to the Titanic. Next week, we will look at the time line of events that led upto the fateful crash. The children will be writing letters from characters in our story Troll Swap and exploring predictions. Our reading lessons will continue to focus on finding the exact information from the text to answer a question and not trying to remember. In Maths, we will explore number sequences and patterns using our place value knowledge. Our spellings will continue with the soft c sound:

pencil, notice, concert, face, price, circus, certain, concentrate, excellent, with (this is a word that we are having difficulty in spelling correctly)

Please ensure that PE kits are in school daily. Thank you for your support with home reading, this is so important for our children. We ask for 3 comments in the reading diaries from home each week in order for the children to receive a raffle ticket and make progress in their reading. The children have times tables homework on RockStars.
