Year One - Week Beginning 30.9.19
Date: 25th Sep 2019 @ 9:26pm
Hello and welcome back to Starlings Class Blog,
WOW! Starlings have had such busy and exciting week. We went on our fantastic school trip to Northwich and learnt lots of facts about our local history. Many members of the public commented on how smart and sensible the children were. We also enjoyed two wonderful sport workshops, both featuring on our school Twitter page.
We have yet another busy week ahead of us next week.

Writing
Starlings are loving their class text, Lost and Found. Next week, we will continue our journey though the text, considering how Penguin’s thoughts and feelings change along the way. We will then compare this to the thoughts and feelings of the boy in the story. Towards the end of the week, we will finish reading the story and begin learning it using pictures and actions ready for our big write re-tell next week.
Topic
In our Topic lessons we will be continuing to research well-known buildings from both Northwich and Lostock Gralam. We will create a timeline to show which buildings are the oldest and newest. We will complete Art activities focusing on our science topic of ‘Seasonal Changes’.
