Good Morning Owls (Tuesday)

Date: 23rd Mar 2020 @ 3:27pm

Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday, It certainly feels strange not coming to school and Mrs Hoskins and I are both missing all of your lovely, smiling faces.

Thank you for sharing some of the lovely things you have been up to.I am so proud of you all and how hard you are working already! It really made me smile to see some of you drawing, planting sunflowers, doing maths, learning to whistle, reading at home, taking part in the Joe Wicks challenge, leaning to ride your bike and make yorkshire puddings. Please keep sending in your photos and videos to tapestry.

Its lovely to hear that some of the children are worried they are missing phonics! Read, Write Inc are doing daily phonics that you can access. I have attached a Daily Phonics guidance sheet to help you know which group your child is in and how to access the videos. Please can I ask that you do not start the Read, Write Inc Get Writing books yet. I will let you know when we are all going to start them so that we all start at the same time. I will let you know on the blog when you are to start using them and what activities in the book to complete. Thank you for your support with this. Please message me on tapestry if you are unsure about groups.

I have attached a document of a few apps/websites that I think will be useful and that you will enjoy. The document shows what the app/website is and how to access it.

Oxford Owl is a website school subscribe to and I have set up a username and password so that you can access all the free reading books.

Why don't you have a look today. Let me know which ones you enjoy.

I have seen lots of people on my road colouring and painting rainbows and putting them in their window to make people smile as they walk past. Maybe you could do this today? I would love to see your rainbows. Thank you to some of you that have shared yours already.

Please keep posting to Tapestry I love seeing what you are doing.

Hope you have a lovely day and stay safe.

Love from Mrs Campion & Mrs Hoskins x

Dear children,  We have all started on a strange adventure, I wonder what we will learn to do over the next few months?   I think you will find that your parents are the best teachers!  Enjoy any activity you do for the first time, we are going to make bread in my house! Mrs Powell
